You're probably doing Teaching as Inquiry (or Spirals of Inquiry) wrong if:



  • you get to choose your focus area before you start the inquiry
  • you're being told by someone else what your inquiry is about
  • you don't involve learners and their whānau in your inquiry
  • you're more focused on learners changing than on your own practice changing
  • you're filling out a template that has little meaning or purpose for you
  • it doesn't feel messy
  • it feels like an add-on or another thing you have to do
